Does God know your name?  Does it make any difference if God knows your name or not?  The Bible tells us that God has a book of names, called the Book of Life.  The Bible, God's Word, tells us that the persons whose names are not written in the Book of Life will be separated from God forever (Revelation 20:15).  If our names are not in the Book of Life, this means that Jesus does not know us.  Unless our names are written in that book, we will hear Jesus say, "I never knew you.  Away from me, you evildoer!"  (Matthew 7:23)  However, your name can be written in the Book of Life today.

Please read the following and insert your name in the blanks as you read:

"For God so loved ________________________."

God loves each person in the world, and He loves you.  He loves you so much 'that He gave His one and only Son' (John 3:16).  That Son is Jesus.  God's only Son came and died on a cross for you to save you from your sin.

That if _____________________ 'believes in Him (Jesus)'.

Believe means that, convicted of your sin by the Holy Spirit, you repent by turning away from the sin, turning toward God, and you place your faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord (see Acts 3:19).  God forgives you when you place your faith in Him.

______________________ 'shall not perish but have eternal life' (John 3:16).

If you do what God's Word says, your name will be written in the Book of Life and you will have the abundant life Jesus promised to those who follow Him (John 10:10).  The Bible also says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13).

Will you pray right now and ask Jesus to save you?  If you will do that, and tell God in prayer that you know you are a sinner, that you repent of your sin, and ask Him for His forgiveness......your name will be forever written in the Book of Life.

Then in celebration, please share your newfound faith in Jesus Christ with a pastor or Christian friend.  Becoming a Christian is your first step on the lifelong road of spiritual growth and service that God desires for you.
